WHF is not routinely open to the public; access via pre-booked events only! BIG CAT AFTERNOON TOUR Enjoy an exclusive visit to see Europe's most important collection of felids. Our collection includes some of the World's most endangered big cats; Amur leopards, Sumatran tigers, Amur tigers, Snow leopards and North Chinese leopards. You will have the opportunity to see the cats in close proximity during a special guided tour. You will also learn about the work of WHF and during the tour each guest over the age of 16 will have the opportunity to hand feed a piece of meat to one of the Big Cats (if they wish!). Outline programme: 1pm - arrival 1.15pm – presentation; about the work of Wildlife Heritage Foundation and the history of the Sanctuary and health & safety briefing 1.30pm - special guided group tour which will last approximately 1½ hours (over 16's will have the opportunity to hand feed one of the big cats) 3pm - return to the Heritage Lodge for refreshments 3.30pm – visit souvenir shop & depart site Operating a centre of excellence in Kent, UK dedicated to the captive breeding of endangered big cats within the European Endangered Species Programmes (EEP) with the eventual aim of providing animals for scientifically based re-introduction projects. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
