Berkhamsted Castle

Visit the substantial remains of a strong and important motte and bailey castle dating from the 11th - 13th centuries, with surrounding walls, ditches and earthworks. A palace complex was added in the 13th century. Please note: Dogs on leads are welcome. Opening Times 29 April 2017 - 24 March 2018 Open summer, daily 10:00 - 18:00, winter 10:00 - 16:00.
