Getting close up to one of the larger animals  for instance elephants or even giraffes is an unique encounter. You will find a lot of different types of avian species to see at a zoo for instance owls and waterfowl. Many zoos will have  a reptile building so you view animals such as highly dangerous snakes such as cobras. The wide range of mammals is going to be on display for example leopards and red pandas. From the lakes and ponds of our world you will find plenty of amazing fish to see including piranha. Varied and colourful marine life such as crabs are usually brilliant to discover. Amphibians like frogs are intriguing for young children of all age ranges to examine. The zoo is a location in which living animals are placed to be exhibited and studied. The actual name is a popular type of zoological garden, and a good number of zoos are gardens or recreational areas containing structures as well as other enclosures. Zoos normally look after only wild animals, several of these coming from distant countries. However, some zoos house indigenous animals such as cows and piglets to demonstrate to city kids who may have no opportunity to pay a visit to farms. Kid's zoos are sometimes incorporated in zoological gardens. They may possibly have areas where children can view small animals, and at times now have places where children are able to pet and feed tame animals.  Zoos are also important centres for wildlife preservation. Many zoos breed endangered animals, some of which are extinct in the wild.
