A common name, this particular Botany Bay is at the foot of chalk cliffs halfway round the Isle of Thanet headland. There's a wealth of seashells and chalky rock pools from crabs and starfish to piddocks and cuttlefish, so make sure you take a net, bucket and spade. Local facilities include toilets, lost child centre, first aid post, a cafe and windbreaks for hire. There is parking on the cliff top. The contact number is for the local tourist information centre. Admission: Local parking charges may apply. Opening Times: Lifeguard cover from May to September. Dogs not permitted during those months.
