Burcott Mill is one of only 50 water powered flour mills that are still operating in the UK today. The origins of Burcott Mill date back over 1000 years to a recording in the Doomsday Book (1086)! The mill sells the flour it makes, meaning that is a commercial business as well as a museum. The flour that they produce is handcrafted, using the same machinery and methods that were used over 150 years ago. Visitors are welcome to simply look around the mill during daylight hours and there are lots of information sheets around the mill to help you understand what you are looking at. Admission: Tour: Adults £3.50 Children £1.50 Seniors £2.50 Families (2 adults and 2 children) £8.50 Opening Times: Open daily during daylight hours, tours held at 3pm every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Booking essential.
