The Botanic Garden is situated less than a mile to the south of the City centre and only five minutes walk from the railway station. This tranquil 40 acre (16 hectares) garden offers year round interest to visitors. The Garden has a collection of over 10,000 labelled plant species in beautifully landscaped settings, including Rock Garden, Lake, Glasshouses, Winter Garden, Woodland Walk, and nine National Collections. Opening Times & Admission The Garden opens daily at 10am April – September: 10am–6pm February, March & October: 10am–5pm January, November & December: 10am–4pm The Glasshouses and Café close 30 minutes before the Garden and the Botanic Garden Shop at Brookside closes 15 minutes before the Garden.
