Cusworth Hall and Park offers plenty to see and do with the kids, is open throughout the year, and it’s free to visit! The Museum has an extensive collection of items ranging from costumes and accessories, to agricultural and mining hand tools. There are also toys and games, household equipment, plus plenty of photographs to discover (more than 10,000)! Find out what life was like below stairs when you visit the Great Kitchen, Still Room Bakehouse, and Laundry. The Chapel is also worth a visit as it has stunning ceiling paintings to admire. Outside, there are buggy friendly paths through the historic 18th century landscape, which includes the restored ‘ye greate river’, plus a number of lakes that support plenty of wildlife, including kingfishers, water voles, and beautiful orchids. There is also an adventure playground for kids aged 3 and older, plus a tearoom serving home cooked food. Admission: Admission is free! Parking is from £1 for an hour to £6 for all day. Opening Times: Monday to Wednesday 10am to 4.30pm Closed Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday 10.30am to 4.15pm
