Enjoy the beauty and wonder of Howth in a unique and fun way, The Howth Express guided land train tour, departs every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with full seven day service starting in the summer. The Howth Express’ live commentary will entertain & inform you and your family about of some of the local lore and legend, including those of legendary pirate queen, Grace O’Malley & Erskine Childers and the Howth gun running from the original Asgard. What better way to acquaint yourself with all that Howth has to offer, the spectacular cliff paths running from Balscadden to Sutton, the old Howth Tram Lines, Historic Howth Castle & Demesne, the golf courses, angling, sailing, not to mention the many fine restaurants and pubs. Starting in April 2014 The Howth Express will run on Tuesdays through Sundays and Bank Holidays with trips on the half hour between 11.00 and 16.30 up until the end of May. June, July and August – The Howth Express will run on the half hour, seven days a week, between 11.00 and 17.30. From October through to the end of February will be on the half hour between 11.00 and 16.00 at the weekends & Bank Holidays.
