Elsecar Heritage Centre

Elsecar Heritage Centre is built on the site of industrial workshops dating to the 1800s and the charmingly restored historical buildings now house a nice little antique centre, individual craft workshops, and exhibitions of Elsecar's past, so it's a great trip to take the grandparents along with you as they can potter around some of that while you hit the more active bits! You can also ride the steam railway which is great for all ages and see the collection of old fire engines.

Opening Times: 

Elsecar Heritage Centre is open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm, although individual shops and businesses within Elsecar Heritage Centre have varying opening times.
