The natural playground, surround by grassy mounds, has an exciting 30m Zip Wire, climbing stilts, swings and much more. Free guides to the Nature Trail, Tree Trail and entry-level Orienteering Route are available from the Coach House Cafe. They will guide you through the woodland and wilder parts of the park and onto the delightful mature gardens with wildlife pond. The trails end in the orchard, close to the Kitchen Garden and Cafe. There is lots to see and learn in this inspirational community-owned park. Located in the shadow of Hoad Hill, Ford Park makes an excellent starting point for a climb up the hill to see the Sir John Barrow Monument, a 100ft high lighthouse built to honour a famous son of Ulverston.
