Fylde Society of Model Engineers

FyldeSME have existed for over 70 years and still operates today as an interest for like minded model engineers. The Society track is on St Georges playing fields behind Marsh Mill, Thornton Cleveleys; where miniature passenger trains run on Sunday afternoons throughout the year (weather permitting). At the bottom of this page there is a video of us in action!! (You will find us 1m45s into the video) the Society engages in various activities connected to model engineering. These include visits to other societies and exhibitions in the UK, as well as participating in local exhibitions where our models are displayed and explained to the public.

Admission:

No fares charged, but donations much appreciated!   

Opening Times: 

Every Sunday and bank holiday afternoons (events are also organised on request for schools and youth organisations at other times).

Open: 1.30pm Close: 4pm
