See how and why the canals were built and test your own skills with our indoor working lock system. Don't forget to explore our historic boats, or take a trip down the canal on one of our daily pleasure cruises. Boat Trips and Hires Gloucester Waterways Museum offers a great selection of boat trip and hire options on its two boats, King Arthur and Queen Boadicea II. Trips depart from the dockside at the museum for either the River Severn or the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal.
