Gorgie City Farm has been a much-loved part of the local community in Edinburgh for the past 30 years. We are dedicated to inspiring local people and tourists at our farm. We are proud to offer courses in agriculture, gardening and handicrafts for adults and children. We delight in educating and entertaining city kids with hands-on, exciting activities involving farm animals, gardening and exotic creatures. A breath of the countryside in the middle of the city- we have a range of farm and pet animals to visit. Guided tours and hands-on activities such as Farmer's Helpers workshops, milling workshops, and many more can be booked for children and drop in sessions eg Easter craft sessions, wildlife talks are offered seasonally. A perfect family-friendly day out for young and old, please pop in for a wee chat and a cup of tea, and even better - get involved and get your hands dirty! We also offer volunteering opportunities in all areas of the farm including the gardens. Entry is FREE [donations much appreciated] and we are open 7 days a week, 363 days a year, 9:30-4:00 (4:30 in BST).
