HORNE'S PLACE CHAPEL

A rare survival of a fine domestic chapel, Horne's Place Chapel was built for William Horne in 1366 and attached to his timber-framed manor house, which was attacked during the Peasants' Revolt of 1381.

The house and chapel are privately owned.

Access Information: The chapel is a short walk from the driveway over a narrow, uneven brick path. There are 2-3 steps into the chapel, and several steps into the undercroft.

Opening Times: Access to the chapel is by prior arrangement only. To book a visit telephone 01304 211067.

Parking: Please park considerately at the side of the lane.

How to Find It: The chapel is11/2 miles north of Appledore on the right hand side of road. Park in the driveway to the right of Horne's Place.
