Jet Age Museum is a really interesting place to visit, even if you aren’t a budding pilot or petrol head, and it’s free. There are a number of planes to investigate, plus several cockpits (including that of a Vulcan bomber!), that have been adapted so you can try out the pilot’s seat and experience what it would have been like for them. Friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who love to share information run the museum, plus there are a number of interesting exhibits to check out. Admission: Free to visit but donations welcome. Opening Times: Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 4pm
