King Kong Climbing Centre

King Kong Climbing Centre, situated in the heart of the British Lake District Keswick, opened its doors to the climbing world in October 2014. There is a wide range of activities that we are able to offer to keep even the most frequent user happy year round!

The climbing area here consists of a multitude of angles from slabs to mega overhangs around the main area, including a feature wall for you to get the real rock experience indoors!

Tucked away behind all this is our indoor caving system; crawl, squeeze and weasel your way through from the bottom of climbing wall to the cavern before exiting out of the cave into our cafe upstairs.

If Caving is not your thing, then why not give our Ice Wall a go, We’ve got all you need to get you smashing up our real ice wall from all the equipment to friendly experienced staff.

Once you have tried everything indoors and would like to take on a challenge outdoors then we have a wide range of courses available to suit all abilities including Rock climbing, Ghyll scrambling, Caving and Via Ferrata!
