Kippys Paint Your Own Pottery

We are a 22 seat studio but can accommodate up to 28 on the ground floor by special arrangement and we also have a party room on the first floor which can seat a further 16 painters.

We stock dozens of ready to paint pottery shapes known as bisque, from functional items such as plates, bowls, mugs, jugs and vases to fun and ornamental pieces such as money boxes, figurines and animals.

After you've finished painting your piece we will glaze and fire it in our kiln. You can collect it in a few days or we can post it to you for a small charge. 

We also provide children's parties and group bookings.

Why not capture your baby's foot or hand print on a piece of pottery and keep them forever! These commemorative pieces are hugely popular as gifts for relatives or friends. Clay imprints of hands and feet can also be made in soft earthenware clay which is then shaped, dried and fired. Then they are painted in a colour of your choice, glazed and fired again to produce a pottery plaque.

Admission:

Prices start at £8 for 2 items and go up to £30 for deluxe pieces! We do not charge a studio Fee and our pottery prices includes all paint, glaze and firing costs.

Group: 15% for 12 or more painters

So just to be clear: no admittance charge, just the cost of the pottery painted!   

Opening Times:

Open Tuesday to Saturday. Open on Mondays during school holidays. Closed Bank Holidays. Sundays and evenings available for parties and group bookings
