London Bus Museum not only covers the history of public transport over 100 years but also has a great collection of old buses, which still work! So polish up your Blakey impression and come and on down! The displays are arranged in a timeline, with buses ranging from the horse drawn bus from 1870 to those made in the 1970s. Each exhibit is placed in a contemporary London street scene, giving a better idea of the time in which they were used. There are also displays of information for the kids to check out plus small items associated with each time period so if they want to make an educational thing of it there's plenty of data. Most small kids will be just as happy looking at it all to be fair, though! There is also a working fleet of buses which can ‘come out to play’ for special events and running days, plus you can see buses that are undergoing restoration which itself is very interesting. Admission: Adult £11 Senior or Student £10 Child (5 to 16) £6 Children under 5 are free Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) £30. Opening Times: Open daily (except a few days at Christmas).
