The park occupies the site of an old manor house that fell into terminal decline after the war and was demolished in 1959. Fortunately, the park has continued in use and has become one of the best parks within the region. The park occupies around eight hectares with a large number of facilities on site. The Jungle Experience at Manor Heath Park is a tropical oasis packed with fish, quail, terrapin and butterflies as well as a collection of plants from all over the world, where visitors can enjoy the all year round tropical atmosphere. The area where the manor house once stood is now a sunken garden. The house's walled garden still exists and has been split into ten smaller gardens and includes many traditional as well as modern designs of planting. Other features within the park include a woodland walk, a park trail, and a wildflower area. Enjoy the parks wildlife as you sit in our covered outdoor patio area and take advantage of a variety of speciality coffees and home cooked food. Flutter Bites is an ideal place to rest whilst out walking your dog or take a break while your children play in the park. Recent additions to the parks facilities include an inclusive play area, an exciting new inclusive water and sand play area, toilet facilities and the Flutter-bites cafe. Open: Monday-Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. |
