All the fun of the fair - The Circus is in Town at Mell Square!
Children are Kept Entertained with a Programme of Summer Events
Roll up, roll up and make your way to Solihull’s Mell Square on Thursday, 29th July for a day of clowning around and circus frolics, as Mell Square kicks off a summer-long programme of events designed to keep children happy, healthy and active while school’s out!
From 11am-3pm, Mell Square will be a hive of activity bathed in bright colours, with a series of fun-filled attractions, including; a mini wheel, Punch & Judy shows and a mini wheel. More adventurous children will be able to try their hand at juggling and diabolos in the circus workshops. These and all the activities on offer are designed to build children’s confidence, raise self esteem and develop physical attributes such as co-ordination, balance and fitness.
Based around Costa Coffee in the main square, the day is a vibrant array of stalls and meeting areas set up to bring to life the drama, fun and excitement of a trip to the ‘Big Top’.
The varied programme includes activities to suit all ages, keeping your children active and entertained, and there will be a face painter on hand throughout the day to make-up your little monsters!
Further events such as ‘Animal Antics’ and ‘Fun in the Sun’ will be happening at Mell Square in the coming weeks, so there really is no excuse for children to be bored during the school holidays!
No advance booking is required for any of the activities but you are advised to come along early to guarantee the activity of your choice, weather permitting.
