Mistley Place Park is a sanctuary that receives no funding from outside organisations and relies totally on income from the tearooms and visitors to the park, along with donations from the public. Here at Mistley Place Park, we have over 2,000 rescued animals at any one time and the numbers continue to increase. Those currently being looked after include: owls, goats, sheep, ducks, guinea pigs, dogs, chickens, cats, horses, pigs, rabbits, plus the occasional peacock! Each animal needs care and feeding, whilst the staff dedicate their time to the well-being of the animals, the cost of running the Animal Rescue Centre needs to be met by charging an entrance fee, by the tearooms, and of course by generous donations from the public. Our tearooms offer great value meals, sandwiches, snacks and afternoon teas.
