Montacute House was built at the end of the 16th century and is considered to be one of the most beautiful Elizabethan houses in England. Whether the kids want to be inspired by the art and history inside, or just run and explore, this place is worth a visit, especially during the summer when there will be 2 live shows of costumed and traditional horsemanship (and horsewoman ship of course!) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the school holidays: bonus!
