The National Lobster Hatchery is a marine conservation, research and education charity with a modern Visitors' Centre where, through smart interactive displays, you and the kids can learn all about the importance of sustainability and responsible marine management. It's very educational but also pleasing to just wander around if the kids are too young to be taking it all in: so good for all ages! The kids will certainly remember coming up close with young lobsters, as well as a resident giant lobster and Edible and some creepy but amazing Spider Crabs! If the kids are endeared toward these cool crustaceans then why not look into adopting a lobster and using some pocket money to help sponsor their conservation and research work. Admission: Adults £3.75 Children £1.75 (under 5s are free) Seniors £2.50 Family £9 Opening Times: Open all year, 7 days a week, from 10am. Closes between 4pm and 5.30pm depending on the time of year, with extended opening until 7.30pm during July and August. Closed Christmas Day.
