North Downs Way National Trail is a great way to explore all that this area has to offer. You don’t have to walk the whole trail as there is so much to see whichever section you choos to wander along, plus there are some circular trails to follow, so there is something for everyone. Spectacular scenery, wonderful rolling countryside, and picturesque villages will surround you. There are also plenty of historic spots for the kids to discover, from Medieval castles and Neolithic sites, to Roman and Napoleonic forts. The trail follows Pilgrims way, so there are loads of churches along the way, plus 3 cathedrals and 8 castles! These include Dover and Rochester castles, Waverley Abbey and Canterbury cathedral. Admission: Free to visit. Opening Times: Public space, always open.
