Otterspool Park is a lovely and relaxing spot to chill out and have a picnic and take in the views of the parkland and across the Mersey towards Wales. It’s also great for a number of activities like cycling, kite flying, walking the dog or just running as fast as you can over the open hills and grassland! The playground is great for younger kids, with swings, see saw, climbing net and frame, plus a spinning dish. There is also a promenade to stroll along, which leads along the front of the park into the centre of Liverpool. You might be interested to know that although the park is now a beauty spot, it used to be a rubbish dump for the city! You would never guess that the large lawns and wooded areas were anything different. Admission: Free to visit Opening Times: Open all year, 24 hours a day, but better during daylight.
