Before You Go Parking: Free street parking is available in Horseshoe Drive. How to Find It: There is a pedestrian underpass under the A40 that leads to the bridge. Access: Wheelchair access is possible, but there are steep slopes up to the bridge from the footpath. Facilities: Gloucester city centre is just a couple of miles from the bridge. It has plenty of shops, food outlets and facilities. Plan a Great Day Out Over Bridge is part of the National Cycle Network Route 42 which, when complete, will run from Gloucester through to Chepstow and Abergavenny. Nearby Gloucester is home to the two friaries of Blackfriars and Greyfriars. 15 miles west from Over is Goodrich Castle, one of the finest and best preserved examples of an English medieval castle. With a lovely tearoom and stunning views of the Wye Valley, it's well worth a visit.
