The low, grass-covered but complete ground-plan of a moated manor house built by the de Cardinham family in the 13th century. BEFORE YOU GO Parking: A small free car park is situated at the head of a 1/2 mile track that leads to the Manor. How to Find it: The manor is signposted from Week St Mary, off a minor road. From the A39 heading north, turn right at Treskinnick Cross. Please Be Aware: The grassy areas can become muddy in wet weather; we recommend appropriate footwear. Although the site is surrounded by trees, there is no solid shelter from the weather, so come prepared. Facilities: Public toilets and a small shop can be found nearby in the village of Week St Mary. Dogs: Dogs on leads are welcome PLAN A GREAT DAY OUT Further down the coast you'll find the spectacular ruins of Tintagel Castle. Get a taste of Cornwall in the Beach Café and learn about the castle's legendary links with King Arthur in the exhibition. Inland from Penhallam the town of Launceston offers plenty of facilities, shops and cafés and the chance to explore its imposing medieval castle.
