The Falls Walk is the shorter of the two walks to Plodda falls. This is one of the most beautiful falls in Scotland and is well worth a visit. There are several views of the falls, one of which is overlooking them from a bridge built in 1880 by Lord Tweedmouth. The walk also passes through some magnificent Douglas fir and larch trees planted between 1895-1900. They are considered to be among the highest quality trees in Britain. There are some impressive wood ants nests to see along this walk. Have a look but please take care not to damage them - they've taken a long time to build! |
