An interesting fun-filled and educational time awaits you at Rookery Open Farm. A safe, clean environment, mainly under cover has been created on this commercial sheep and cattle farm for families and schools to enjoy themselves whilst learning about farming methods. Visitors can have close contact with a large variety of animals, in the many areas throughout the farm. You are able to picnic inside and out and enjoy a refreshing drink from our tearoom, whilst watching your children in the play areas. Bring the kids down to the farm to meet and experience the animals and play in our brand new purpose built indoor and outdoor activity areas. Many of the animals can be stroked, this is an activity which allows all our visitors lots of pleasure and gain confidence with animals. Our relaxed and welcoming atmosphere will encourage young and old alike to learn about our animals, farming and make new friends at the same time. During the lambing and calving season you will be able to experience seeing some of the baby lambs and calves being born. At Rookery Open Farm we have been working hard to finish our brand new, purpose built, three story kids indoor play structure and it's finally complete! Come and play on three stories of tube slides, punch bags, rollers, steeping stones, ramps, spider nets and wedges.
