Slapton Sands and Torcross Beach
Slapton Sands and Torcross Beach offers a pebbly beach no good for sand castling but it's offset by great water activities at the Torcross end, including surfing, windsurfing and canoeing with lifeguard cover May to September.

It's also worth learning the significance of the flags as they offer advice on swimming conditions: you can pick up a flag guide at the local Post Office.
Immediate vicinity amenities include an accessible cafe and a nature reserve with trails. There are also disabled access toilets by the beach and a ramp access point. You can also bring the family hound along all year round too.
It's significant to note that northern sections of Slapton Sands are popular with naturists. It does often include whole naturist families, can be an educational eye opener and certainly start some interesting discussions but may not be everyone's sort of thing and not necessarily something you wish to come across unexpectedly, so please ensure you plan carefully in advance which 'bits' you want to see.

Admission:
No fees, some free onsite parking. Other local parking may charge.

Opening Times:
Year round daylight access.
Lifeguarded May to September.
No dog restrictions.
