Studland Beach forms one of the most stunning beaches in England. Backed by the dunes and the National Nature Reserve it offers fine golden sands, shallow sea bathing and impressive views of Poole Bay, Ballard Down and Old Harry Rocks. The dunes and heathland are nationally important for the wildlife they carry and their rarity value. All six species of British reptile inhabit the area, it is a haven for birds and the peninsular is also home to a large number of Sika and Roe Deer. There are plenty of great coastal walks to enjoy including walking out to Old Harry Rocks which is part of the Jurassic Coast, the first natural World Heritage Site in the UK. There’s also the Woodland Trail and Sand Dunes Trail, both ideal for families. The Visitor Centre at Knoll Beach is open all year from 10am to 4pm, you can enjoy delicious food & drink in the café or browse a range of quality gifts in the shop.
