Nature of EnquiryDear Sir / Madam My name is Roisin Wheble and I am a pupil at Langley Park School for Girls, in Bromley, Kent. I am fourteen years old, but I will be fifteen years old by the time I do my work experience. I am very interested in doing my work experience at Hackney City Farm, which will be from Monday 6th September 2010 until Friday 17th September 2010. I would particularly like to go to Hackney City Farm for my work experience because I am interested in science and animals. In the future I would like to study veterinary science, hopefully at The Royal Veterinary College in London. This is my goal and I have always wanted to achieve this. I have always enjoyed being around animals from domestic pets to farm animals and see my future lying in this vocation. I am currently working towards my GCSE’s and I am studying Mathematics, English Literature and Language, triple award Science, French (in which I am being fast tracked) ICT, Music, Food Technology and History. I have just started studying for my GCSE’s, but I am already enjoying the subjects I have chosen immensely. I particularly enjoy Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. My other interests include reading, singing in a choir, playing the clarinet in the school orchestra and also Irish Dancing, in which I regularly compete. All of my hobbies involve my working as part of a team, being committed and taking responsibility within the various groups. I am Head Chorister at St John the Evangelist Church, Upper Norwood and this involves me helping younger choristers to develop their musical skills. I have recently completed my Royal School of Church Music Dean’s Bronze award, which I passed with distinction. I was presented with my medal at Southwark Cathedral. I am now working towards my Bishop’s Silver award, which I will be taking in February 2010. This has involved alot of hard work, commitment and study but I am confident I will be able to achieve this goal. I feel that if I am given the opportunity to complete my work experience at Hackney City Farm, it will give me a valuable insight into working with and caring for animals on a daily basis. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Yours Sincerely Roisin Wheble
