SubjectJob Vacancies
Nature of EnquiryHello, I have recently completed my CACHE Diploma in Child Care and Education Level 3 and am now seeking employment. I am, obviously, newly qualified but have very recent experience of working with children from the age of 7 and below in both school and nursery environments. I like to see the children achieve their very best in all activities as this gives me a lot of job satisfaction and a real sense of achievement. I am comfortable working with children and enjoy both play and classroom activities in both group and one to one settings. I am very committed to every child achieving their full potential despite any special educational needs and have had experience through my training working with students with SEN, including ADHD and autism. I hope that this experience would allow me to help children in the centre that do have special concerns and allow them to get the most out of their time at Alphabet Zoo Play and Party Centre. In the last two years I have acquired Level 2 Key Skills in both English and Mathematics demonstrating my ability in literacy and numeracy. Although I have just completed my college courses I am keen to continue to learn as I have a high commitment to continuous professional development. I always want to better myself in my job and I am willing to take part in any training needed for this, in particular any specific training that would make me better able to fulfill any duties at Alphabet Zoo. In the past I have completed level 2 food and hygiene however I would be willing to undertake a refresher course should this be required. In 2009 I undertook paediatric first aid training which is valid for three years and I have recently taken the course again which will be valid until May 2014. I work really well with colleagues, children and their families forming good working relationships with all of these, I present myself well, my attendance over the last three years at college and placements has always been over 90% and I always behave professionally. In addition my bar person’s role at Dinnington Rugby club requires me to interact with young children (we have sides starting from age six) and their parents on a regular basis. I have a working knowledge of ICT including the use of Microsoft office. I use the internet regularly for research and to assist in finding new or creating my own activities for student’s educational needs. I hope the information above shows that I am keen to work at Alphabet Zoo and I was wondering if there would be any opportunity for me to apply for a post as a play worker or another role available. I am available to come for interviews from the 01/08/2011. I can email you a copy of my CV if you give me the appropriate email address. I can be reached via email at pascott1@hotmail.co.uk I hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards, Lucy Hackett
