Nature of EnquiryI am enquiring as to whether you would be interested in adding a pair of Indian Runner ducks, Splash and Dive, to your collection of farm animals. We live in Windsor and at Easter we bought a pair of 3 day old Indian Runner ducks for our son. We built an enclosure in our garden and envisaged that they would spend most of their time in the garden and in their enclosure at night. It hasn’t worked out like that as our dog just wants to play with them and as he is too rough for them, has to be kept inside when they are out, where he gets incredibly distressed and cries and howls. He is perfectly happy when they are in their enclosure. In fairness to Splash and Dive, who are now 14 weeks old, we are looking to find them a new home where they will have a better quality of life and can forage freely, run around and live with other ducks. Dive, the grey one is definitely male as he has the curled feather above his tail but Splash, the white one, doesn’t have this and we think she may be female. They are lovely natured and very comical. They love having people around and are very curious. We will give them away to a good home (we paid £15 each) but I am nervous to advertise them as free because I don’t want them to be eaten! We are very fond of them and want to see them in a new home where they will be happy and cared for. If you are not in a position to take them perhaps you know of someone else in the farming community who would, any advice you are able to offer will be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Pearl
