The South Downs Sustainability Centre are an independent education and learning centre, a veritable beacon for sustainability and an award-winning social enterprise charity: well worth a visit with curious kids of all ages to start setting them a good environmental example! With a holistic, practical and creative approach to education the fun and fascinating Sustainability Centre is here for you (yes you!) to explore how we can all make greener, healthier and more ethical choices in almost all walks of life, explained through interactive educational processes aimed at school aged kids. They also run a huge selection of kids' courses and events throughout the year which cover everything from parent and child woodland sleep outs, to lantern making, to tracks and signs and seasonal specials.It's well worth using our link to check out what's coming up to get in on, especially on the approach to major school holidays. Admission: They offer a large range of activities and classes, prices for which vary but are often around £8 per person. Opening Times: Generally: Centre Reception: 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Centre Grounds: All day every day. The Beech Cafe: 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Sunday. Accommodation Reception: 8.30am to 7pm every day. Permaculture Magazine Bookshop: 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
