Grove Ferry Inn - Canterbury
Originally a Lavender farm & hotel the Grove has a fascinating steeped history. Built by the crafty Georgians, the building is actually on stilts as sitting so close to the river.

Having had a bit of a chequered past with fires, flooding & cars driving through the building (don’t ask) we synthetically refurbished the building in the Spring of 2015.

Now boasting a tap room with Kentish ales taken directly from the cask, an open planned garden kitchen & bar, a huge riverside terrace & the six en suite bedrooms we host weary travellers from near afar, families looking for a unique and characterful venue.

Where they can all relax & a host of weddings & parties in our rustic riverside boathouse. Whatever the occasion, we have an offer.

Our food is created by Mark & his team using local & British suppliers, working in the British seasons & foraging in the Garden of England for special occasions & dishes. Joined in our journey by the pubs pigs, chickens, ducks & Pedro, our golden pheasant we have plenty to entertain the little people whilst offering a great booze selection for the lager adults.

We’re a friendly bunch, the pub is an escape from normal day to day life, sitting on the World acclaimed Stodmarsh Nature Reserve, it’s the ideal escape for clearing the head & filling the belly.
