A Picturesque medieval moated manor house and garden. This atmospheric house dates from the 15th century and was the home of the Ferrers family for 500 years. The house and interiors reflect its heyday in the Elizabethan era, when it was a haven for persecuted Catholics – there are three priest’s holes.
Explore our cosy rooms in this Tudor timber framed home and discover how generations of the Ferrers family lived in isolated splendour within its moat. Gaze out at our intimate gardens through windows beautifully decorated with stained glass heraldry and imagine how you would live at Baddesley.
Our ancient panelled walls are covered in beautiful portraits of the Ferrers family and their friends, many the work of Rebecca Dulcibella Orpen. Baddesley’s walls are festooned with her decorative Heraldic shields, each depicting a Ferrers connection from the distant past.
