The Preston Spy Mission Treasure Trail
On this Trail you must look for the answers to clues that are scattered around the beautiful parks and gardens which are just a short stroll from Preston city centre. Set largely well away from the city's busy streets, this Trail is ideal for kids of all ages! Solve the puzzle and you may win a prize!

The city's Avenham and Miller Parks are two of the finest examples of Victorian municipal parks in the country, with a mix of formal gardens, parkland and woodland, all situated along the banks of the River Ribble. Linked through ornate railway arches both parks were designed and created by the renowned landscape architect Edward Milner during the 1860's. Since Victorian times they have been the central focus of the Guild civic celebrations that take place every 20 years in Preston.

The nearby Winckley Square gardens and Avenham Walk are surrounded by fine Georgian and Victorian residences.

All together they provide a fascinating glimpse into Preston's rich history.
