Thornes Clarence Park

Thornes Park is Wakefield's main open space, less than a mile from the city centre.

It offers 60 hectares of open space to explore and enjoy including a 2 mile circular path that follows the boundary of the park - and if this is not challenging enough there are several exercise stations on the route.

Thornes Park is only open from Easter to September and then at weekends and the school holiday week in October. This site is closed from November to March.

Park open from 8:30am until the sun goes down ranging between 3.30pm to 7.30pm.
