Thwaite Mills Watermill Museum, nestled on an island with beautiful riverside surroundings, is one the last remaining examples of a water powered mill in Britain! A great chance to explore a unique piece of the industrial heritage of Yorkshire, and then take advantage of the lovely paths and waterside picnic areas to really make a day of it with the kids! Step back in time when you enter Thwaite House, a fine Georgian Grade II listed building that was always the mill managers’ house.
