Tumbles at Portobello is our Gymnastics and Softplay Centre. Tumbles is situated right on the beach, along the main Portobello Promenade, with views across the Firth of Forth. Tumbles is the City’s first, purpose-built gymnastics facility and softplay venue. Tumbles caters for all levels and ages, providing coaching programmes from pre-school, through to Adult Gymnastics, Trampoline and Freestyle Gymnastics. Freestyle Gymnastics is a mixture of parkour, free-running, break-dancing and urban gymnastics. Tumbles also provides access to clubs, schools and elite athletes. It offers a full pathway for both women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics and will be Scotland’s first gymnastics facility to provide equipment for Freestyle Gymnastics. The Tumbles softplay provides children with a fun and exciting range of features that will help develop their sense of balance, stimulate their minds and promote activity. This play area has distinct zones for Babies (under 12 months), Toddlers (under 3 years) and Juniors (4-10 years). Tumbles includes Cafe Refresh, offering healthy snacks and quality coffee.
