Tyke Racing

Tyke Racing is the leading go kart track in the North of England, with the latest generation electric lithium powered karts, providing a great chance to have some exhilarating fun!

Purpose built and opened in 2013, the facility offers a 500m outdoor track designed by top racing drivers (with 12 corners!), and a fully licensed hospitality suite with viewing balcony where spectators can watch the action!

Tyke Racing has a fleet of ECO Volt pro karts and a fleet of the world’s first lithium powered cadet karts to entertain all would be racing drivers aged 6 years and up (minimum height restrictions apply).

The electric karts are more responsive than their petrol counterparts, with better acceleration and higher top speeds, although these can be limited to ensure safe excitement for all ages.

All equipment for racing is provided, including balaclavas, helmets, racing suits and gloves and safety briefings and driving instruction is offered.

Opening Times: 

Open throughout the year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Tuesday to Friday: 2pm to 10pm

Saturday: 9am to 8pm

Sunday: 10am to 6pm

Closed Mondays, except Bank Holidays and by appointment.
