Weardale Open Air Swimming Pool

Come and enjoy the pleasures of outdoor swimming in a warm (tropical water temperature of 80+ degrees Fahrenheit), safe, family environment.

The 25x13m pool is 1m (3 feet)  at the shallow end, and a gentle gradient down to  3m (10 feet) at the deep end.

A slide near the shallow end will keep children occupied for hours, while the  springboard in the deep end allows swimmers to show off their prowess by diving in!

For younger children learning to be comfortable and happy in water, there is a small, warm, toddler pool.

Our facilities include,  hot sauna available on request, soft play area free for toddlers, café with a choice of high quality cakes, savouries  and teas and coffees. There are

changing rooms with hot showers, picnic tables, and a fully stocked shop selling hot/cold drinks, sweets & chocolate, swimming goggles/floats/hats etc.
