The farm provides an excellent opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about farming and to become actively involved in the production of their food. Animals on the farm include a variety of goats, sheep, pigs, cattle and poultry. We work closely with local schools, taking groups on tours of the farm, explaining about recycling, the environment, animals and how food is produced. Information and worksheets are available, and we can supply fertile eggs and incubators for use in classrooms. The community gardens are made up of plots where local residents grow their own vegetables, fruit and flowers. There are communal areas with flower gardens and an ornamental pond. The horticultural centre includes a greenhouse, polytunnel and cold frames.
