Woodlands Farm
covers approximately 89 acres on the borders of Greenwich and Bexley
boroughs near to Oxleas Woods. Run by a charitable trust, it
is an educational Farm managed under the Natural England Higher
Level Countryside Stewardship Scheme where we try to
balance farming practice with the needs of nature conservation.
Rich in wildlife, the Farm is a recreational and educational
resource for local people of all ages. Our education programme
attracts visitors from pre-school to third-age groups and many
primary schools. Woodlands
Farm is an 89-acre livestock farm located between Eltham,
Woolwich, Plumstead and Welling. It is made up
of farm buildings (including an ex-abattoir site), extensive
fields, hedgerows and wetlands. In the north of the site is Clothworkers Wood.
